Hi, I am Susie,

I am on a mission to help you take decluttering off your to-do list forever!

It is possible for you to live clutter-free and on your own terms.

It can be so hard to even just take a moment to think about how things might be different. Especially if you have been living with clutter for a while, perhaps have ADHD or have little or no support from others.

But I really want you to know that the problem is not you!

You have been trying so hard, and when you just can't do any more and you need to rest, find yourself procrastinating, or feel like you are going round in circles- these are not signs of laziness or not being good enough. They are symptoms, (along with clutter) of what you have been dealing with.

A little about me so you have an idea of who I am before deciding whether to reach out...

Ever since I was a child, there are things I knew about myself yet couldn't really explain - such as the need to have my sister with me when I was tidying my room - not to help me but just to be there. (Now I know this is called body-doubling* and it really helps people - especially those with ADHD, get things done!)

Or knowing that with too much noise, or visual "mess" I wouldn't be able to make a decision or think straight- you might notice this for yourself as it's probably part of why you are here.

And so my journey to this point has really been one of self-discovery, and being able to start giving words to the things I could sense but didn't "know". such as receiving my ADHD diagnosis.

"Decluttering", kind of found me as the next piece in the puzzle, it was simply the tool I had been using to be able to do anything in life. Simplifying and clearing the decks to be able to move forward.

It didn't translate into a business until 2015 when I started my eBay business, At first alone, and then over time I grew a network of sellers. The business is still going- reach out if you have things to sell and live in Berkshire or Hampshire!

After a while I began offering a decluttering in-person service for people in their homes- however in 2020 I was forced to take this online. From there, I developed my first online coaching programme. You see, what I had learnt was, that the clutter I had been helping people with was never about the "stuff". There was always a story behind it.

True, long-term decluttering success came from talking. And so via a holistic process, where we decluttered physically, mentally and emotionally I was able to continue offering a virtual service and have never gone back to in-person decluttering.

I help people to understand three key things:

  • why they had clutter

  • why they couldn't let it go

  • why it kept coming back.

Once they begun to understand these things their physical clutter started to melt away; they no longer felt compelled to accumulate and no longer had to hold on to things so tightly.

Letting go and living without the weight of clutter became possible.

The experiences I have had in life serve me as a coach, not to "tell" you what to do, or for me to share my views, but to enable me to have empathy with a variety of life situations.

I am a human being, far from perfect, but always open to learning and wanting to challenge my own perspective.

*Body-doubling is a really cool way to get things done. You either have someone with you in person, (like I did when I was a child) or you can do it online via a video call.

I use body-doubling to get my own stuff done, as well as offering it as a service. We share up front on the call when we want to do, then we crack on and do it, and then we debrief afterwards as to how we got on.

It really helps with accountability and beating procrastination.

Me as a coach

Firstly I would like to myth-bust something about coaching, it will never be about me "telling" you what to do- you own your life, and know best what you love, what you dislike, and ultimately what you want; so instead, it will be about me knowing exactly what you need to see and understand to get to your clutter-free life, and then asking you the specific questions that are going to get you there.

What I do know, is that no-one wants to declutter - yes it feels good to make progress, and of course we want the end result, but ultimately you want to get decluttering off your to-do list once and for all, and that is my commitment to you- not to help you declutter, but to help you never have to declutter again..

We will take "declutter the house" off your to-do list once and for all... yes really!

If you want to know more about the process take a look here.

My approach is rooted in warmth, compassion, and understanding. Our conversations will provide both support and challenge, tailored to your needs at the time. Without challenge there is no change and as the saying goes:

"If nothing changes, nothing changes" - Courtney C. Stevens.

Are you "clutter-blind"?

Sometimes you find yourself just going through the motions- you know what it is like- there is just no time or energy to think about what you want, how things could be different and you are operating on autopilot just surviving each day as best you can. And before you know it, you are in so deep with a life that you just don't recognise.

You know how they describe on the Febreeze advert, when they talk about "nose-blind"? Like, if you have a dog, you just stop noticing the smell - but in someone else's home you would definitely notice. It is the same with clutter - physical , mental and emotional clutter. - we are so used to our own surroundings and our own minds being the way they are that we just don't notice things creeping up on us and blocking our way. We don't notice any opportunity for change - yet we desperately want things to be different!

Your starting place doesn't matter

Clutter affects you in so many different ways - often starting in small annoying ways, and building up to the catastrophic. You may not notice to start with - you know that feeling that there's something amiss, but the words, or the understanding, of the problem is just out of reach? You feel a bit out of whack, a bit run down, or irritable; something isn't quite right but you just cannot identify, or put your finger on, the actual problem and therefore you can't start looking for the real solution.

So, you start "trying harder", feeling ashamed, bickering with family, desperately trying to get on top of your clutter with better storage, a new schedule, well meaning advice from others, or even hiring a professional organiser - but nothing sticks and nothing gives you long term results.

And that is where I am different- I help busy, often neurodivergent women, firstly, identify the real problem to solve - we get to the root cause of the physical, mental and emotional clutter in your life. And then, best of all, we start tackling it. Once we know what's underneath the clutter, the actual shifting of it becomes a whole lot more effortless, and it starts to melt away.

Through transformative, holistic decluttering, you will find your "Space to Live" by getting absolute clarity on what has really been keeping you stuck - it isn't time, lack of storage or laziness - it is not having clarity on the root cause of your clutter.

With my experience, background in neurodiversity, and my lived experience you will feel safe to bring your whole self to the sessions and unpack your challenges with me, without fear of being judged. You will start to shed shame, confusion and self-blame and begin to live with more clarity, develop a readiness for change, openness to challenges and finding peace in letting go.

Regardless of where you are in your journey, the choices you've made, or the ideas you hold, our focus will be on ensuring that the aspects of your life that are within your control, are aligned with your overall well-being and objectives - a.k.a clearing the clutter and taking it off your to-do list forever,

What my lovely clients say...

"From the moment I started working with Susie, I knew she was someone special. Her ability to build an easy rapport made our sessions not just productive, but genuinely enjoyable. Susie’s validating and empathetic nature created a safe space for me to explore and tackle deep-seated behaviours that were affecting my professional life.

What sets Susie apart is her fun approach to coaching and her unwavering commitment to getting results. She respected my pace and guided me through the process of developing practical tools tailored to my needs. With her help, I’ve mastered techniques to remember important tasks, break down complex projects into manageable chunks, and reward myself upon completion. The Pomodoro technique, in particular, has been a game-changer for maintaining focus on less engaging tasks.

Susie’s holistic approach to coaching has been transformative. Her guidance has helped me establish healthier sleeping and eating patterns, leading to noticeable improvements at work. I now end each day with a clear task list for the next, knowing exactly what needs to be done. Working with Susie hasn’t just been about managing ADHD; it’s been an absolute blast.

Everyone needs a Susie in their life—a coach who sees you as a whole person and helps you discover the tools and techniques to thrive. I am immensely grateful for her support and the positive changes she has brought to my life."

Working with Susie was very supportive. It really helped me better understand dyslexia and how I experience it. It helped me to focus on my strengths and thing about how I might harness these. We identified clear goals and she helped to keep me accountable to them which was incredibly helpful, most notably in writing out a consultation structure and in getting on with doing a quality improvement project which I had been avoiding!"

D.G. - London
"I contacted Susie when I needed help with my home. I didn't enjoy my living space anymore with the cluttered surfaces and drawers. Susie came over, and without judgement supported in giving me guidance and strategies. She helped me part with items I had been holding on to but didn't really need, and in fact took them to sell on my behalf. She then followed the appointment up with an email summarising the strategies we had discussed.
Susie is kind, supportive, knowledgeable, empathetic, professional and a fantastic problem-solver.
Thank you so very much Susie!"

“I had a really good decluttering session with Susie focussing on e- clutter including Emails and photos which had got way out of control. Susie helped me to define goals and ways of achieving them in a friendly and supportive manner. At the end of the coaching session, I felt much more positive and energised about the way forward as we had broken this down into achievable steps. Susie’s follow up email summarised the session really well and is a great help for the way forward. I would definitely recommend Susie if you need help with your decluttering journey”

“I had so much to declutter and I didn't know where to start, so I just didn't! But after having a chat with Susie, she encouraged me to just do one tiny area, it felt good to have cleared one small space and that encouraged me to continue. I just wanted to say thank you again for your support over the last few months.

I’ve been through a lot but it’s not really been that out of the ordinary for me and all the things we talked about have helped me enormously.

I had a challenging but productive chat with my partner today and I was able to utilise the techniques we talked about and he is now thinking about how he can get comfortable with the situation and has accepted the boundaries I have put in place.
