May 2025 - Tarot & Coaching

I have been taking part in an 8-week coaching with Tarot course and the sessions on a Monday evening have been a real highlight in my week.

You may have heard of, or used, Tarot in the context of fortune telling or finding a way forward when life feels uncertain, however the course has been focussed on using Tarot as a tool in coaching for self discovery and developing intuition rather than an external guide.

Coaching is based on the premise that the individual has all the tools and ability they need to overcome what is difficult for them- they don't need someone to tell them what to do or give them advice. And the way that Tarot supports this is by showing you an answer to your question that you get to interpret for yourself and discover your own meaning in the card.

The Tarot cards are split into two types - the Major Arcana which represents different stages of life- from birth to death and the Minor Arcana which are split into suits - Swords (head), Cups (heart), Wands (gut), and Pentacles (feet). Within the suits are different events or situations as well as maturity levels represented by the Court cards within the suits.

I often find with coaching that I am helping people bring to the surface things that they kind of already knew but for some reason or another weren't able to articulate, or fully realise and the validation that they get from putting these things into words can be very powerful. The practice with Tarot does a similar thing and can provide a confirmation, reminder or nudge of something.

If you are curious to find out more let me know as I hope to bring some of these new insights into my coaching practise to further help and support you on your decluttering journey.
