We all know that clutter is something we want to miminise, or ultimately get rid of, but have you ever considered that understanding the clutter itself is the key to clearing it?

Think about having an illness - if you know what you are dealing with, you can start to treat it. For example, if you have a snotty nose and assume you just have a cold, no amount of cold remedies are ever going to help if you actually have an allergy! You can't solve the root cause if you don't go any deeper than the symptoms and it is the same with clutter...

Understanding what clutter you have and why it came into your life in the first place can be a much more useful place to start than simply focussing on the "why am I finding it so hard" and "how can I shift it". Same as understanding that if you are allergic to something then that is the essential piece of knowledge to being able to solve the symptoms. Preventing the allergic reaction in the first place is much more useful than worrying about how to handle blowing your nose 100 times a day. Solve the allergy issue and ta-da you solve the need to blow your nose so often.

Get to the root cause of the clutter by examining the clues held within it, and you won't have to keep stressing about how you can clear it or why you procrastinate because those will no longer be problems you need to solve 😊
